Ardêche, Sampson. The camping is located near the river Ardêche. The camping is ~flat, the main roads are made of
asphalt. There is a possibility for rollies to get on to the beach, but you will need a helping hand or
two, because the access to the river beach is very steep and consists of loose
cobbles.
Time of visit: August 2000.
Reception
: fully accessible, no step.
Restaurant, shop: The restaurant and the shop are fully accessible. There is no step at the entrance.
Pool : If you want to
access the pool you will have to go trough the footbath with your
wheelchair. The sunbathing area around the pool is laid in stone.
Bathroom and
toilet : The showers,
toilets, and the private washing cabin have separated accesses. The
shower is equipped with a seat attached to the wall, horizontal
grips are present, the tap is located behind your back. Leaning
backwards activates the shower. The toilets have a grip placed under
a 45° angle. In some toilets the holder with toilet paper is
attached to the opposite wall...ergo.. think before you act...There
is a separate private washing room, which is about 90 cm
wide...bending over to allow you to wash your but is impossible. The rollies facilities are used by lots of walkies. There is no alarm in
the bathrooms. |
