Description:
During the summer of
2000, we have been to Tuscany
where we found an accessible apartment at the above mentioned address.
The shower had a seat, all the necessary grips were mounted at
the right places. The toilet was raised at
wheelchair level. The was more than enough room to turn my chair, in
fact i had more comfort than i have at home!
Access from the car to the apartment
door is easy, and inside everything is adapted off course. The only
thing out of range were the cupboards in the kitchen/living area, they
were too high for me. The area surrounding the
house is covered with cobbles, making travels difficult.
In the cities most
of the sidewalks are accessible for wheelies, and what's more, the parking
spaces for disabled are not occupied by walkies or young chicks that will
never understand the fact that walking distances over 50 meters is
excellent
way to
bring some oxygen into the brain.
If you dispose of the W.P.T
(wheelie parking ticket) you can take your car into the historical parts
of the cities, where no other traffic is allowed.
